Over ten years of training and work in a busy NHS London Hospital as an Echocardiographer. Born in Wales, raised in England, emigrated to Australia in June 2019, bringing his skillset to Port Macquarie Cardiology.
Degree in Cardiac and Respiratory Physiology by Escola Superior de Saúde Dr. Lopes Dias, Portugal; Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography Accreditation by British Society of Echocardiography, United Kingdom.
With over 5 years of experience, specialising mainly in adult echocardiography working in Italy, England and Australia.
National Diploma: Clinical Technology (Cardiology); Baccalaureus Technologiae: Clinical Technology (Cardiology).
Areas of interest within Cardiac Sonography / Ultrasound (Echocardiography), Electrophysiology (pacemakers, ICD’s & cardiac resynchronisation therapy) as well as Hemodynamics & Physiology (angiography & percutaneous cardiac interventions).
Rachel has extensive experience working in health care for more than 20 years, in close conjunction with hospitals and General Practitioners. Most recently, Rachel played an integral role in the establishment of SmartClinics Family Medical Centres, and was Materials Writer for the compilation of the Diploma of Practice Management.
Rachel has worked in varied healthcare environments including Practice Management Consultancy Services and as the Co-ordinator of Medical Services for the Tweed Heads & Murwillumbah District Hospitals. At St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital in Brisbane, Rachel was part of the Senior Management Team for UnitingCare Health, contributing to the running of five private hospitals.
Peta has over twenty years working within management roles across industries. Studying a Bachelor of Economics at the University of Sydney, majoring in Management and Economics, she utilised her management skillset to acquire and mature Port Macquarie Cardiology. More recently Peta has taken on a more strategic role as Director for Port Macquarie Cardiology.
