Dr Andrew Mamo is a General Cardiologist and Cardiac Imaging Specialist with an interest in preventative cardiology, screening for coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and cardiomyopathies. He is skilled in the assessment of all acquired cardiac conditions with ultrasound, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI.
Dr Mamo graduated the Bachelor of Medicine;Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at The University of Sydney in 2014 before undertaking internship at The Tweed Hospital. He completed his Physician Training at St Vincent’s Hospital and Cardiology Advanced Training at Prince of Wales Hospital. He has worked in several cardiac centres in rural and outer-metropolitan locations including the Wagga Wagga, The Sutherland Shire and Port Macquarie as a trainee and Alice Springs, Darwin, Dubbo and Orange as a consultant. He has also volunteered in cardiac outreach services to Timor Leste and The Solomon Islands.
The signature of Dr Mamo’s care is a thorough assessment and a dedication to placing each patient’s cardiac health in the context of who they are as a person before developing an agreed strategy to help people live the life they want for themselves.
When he’s not seeing patients, furthering his training or locuming throughout Australia, Andrew can be found playing music, enjoying weekend drives in vintage and classic cars or playing Futsal (indoor soccer).
