Interventional Cardiologist
Dr Andrew French graduated from the University of Sydney in 2001 and completed his cardiology advanced training at St George and Sutherland Hospitals.
He completed his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the Prince of Wales Hospital, where he obtained extensive skills in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), rotational atherectomy, CTO intervention and false aneurysm repair.
Dr French has been working as an Interventional Cardiologist for Orange Health Service, where he was also the Director of the Cath Lab. In this position, he performed over 1100 PCI cases, >1500 angiograms and developed a 24-hour primary and rescue PCI service. Dr French also supervised interventional fellowship trainees as part of this senior role.
He moved to Port Macquarie in March 2017 to take up a newly appointed position of Interventional Cardiologist for the Mid North Coast Local Health District in Port Macquarie Base Hospital and local district.
Dr French brings a high level of expertise, and is committed to providing the highest quality clinical and procedural care for patients.
